Important to know/remember: States are generally terrible at notifying formerly disenfranchised people of their voting rights. Many have no idea they’re allowed to vote. Many more avoid voting because they’re not sure if they can. I wrote about this in Kentucky but it’s a problem all over.

Tomorrow, the House will vote on the NDAA, which includes a provision to merge parts of our military with the IDF. This amendment is an existential threat to American sovereignty and democracy. Every member of Congress must vote NO.

The obvious solution to this problem is to end the citizenship requirement for voting. No such requirement existed when the country was founded, so something something originalism. Residents should be allowed to vote.
