As usual, this was a well-received protest that left most participants warm and happy. More than 50 turned out.
Today's Protest in Hadley MA was in support of Disappeared in America to honor the dead who have been murdered by the state in this country with a focus on Lorenzo and Johan - two innocent men targeted by ICE - and Corey Ruiz, shot to death in Madison, Wisc., by police while lying on the ground.

Here are signs from today's protest which was supposed to be Citizen's, but organizers bailed at the last minute because of the heat so there were only three of us who stood out and we celebrated Major Jason Watson, our latest hero. Tomorrow we do our regular standout in front of Pride in Hadley.
Everybody in this country deserves health care, compassion and freedom from oppression. We the People should be entitled to the same benefits as those we elect to office.
Today's protest in Hadley was really one of the best. We had about 35 and tons of bubbles, which add joy to the atmosphere. One fellow who has missed a couple weeks said the response from cars was better than ever. Very encouraging and inspiring, restoring hope for many. Here is an example.
Here is my little jingle from our Easthampton MA weekly protest. We have bubble machines at our protests now, including the Saturday Standout for Migrants in Hadley, to spread joy - a known antidote to hate and misery. Spread the joy you feel in your heart for one another. Stop hate in its tracks.
Today we celebrated Juneteenth at our weekly standout in So. Deerfield MA. Great signs, plus Juneteenth flag and banner. More than 60 showed up and drivers passing by were very supportive as well. Very rewarding.
There aren’t fewer recipients because the federal government created policies that lifted people out of poverty so they no longer needed the benefits. The Republican federal government simply decided it is ok to let Americans starve to death.
