Finally watched Penda’s Fen. Not sure what to make of it. Most startling bit was when a woman referred to her cat as ‘Bitch face’
I’m probably just a grumpy old man but my company’s obsession with “augmenting its capabilities” with AI just depressing.
That is a shit sandwich and a half of a junction. "Can you go from The Diary of Anne Frank into Thundercats, there's a good fellow?" www.youtube.com/watch?v=iBs9...

Justin Richards was one of the key figures of the Wilderness Years, as a prolific and reliable writer and by curating what might be the high point of Doctor Who literature with the mid to late EDAs. All that while being a total gentleman you never heard a bad word about. A genuine loss to Who.
What? Oh no! His books and period as editor of the EDAs meant so much
Justin Richards was a master plotter, writer of suspense, and creator of my single favourite run of Doctor Who. He gave exciting stories to a broken boy who needed then more than ever. RIP, Justin.
Nostalgia on Sunday mornings and another DWM special. Love how Lisa Bowerman interview flows directly into a Bernice comic, years before she was cast as Benny
Someone from my work retired today. Alongside her (lovely) gift, they gave her an AI generated infographic. Why??! It just looked awful, generic and, well, bleugh… why are we doing this to ourselves! If you’re going to use AI to generate art at least go try and do something different
Oh no. It’s Friday. I’ve had a drink and been paid. What random Doctor Who shit from my childhood will I purchase?
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
While I was writing #YouAreNotAlone, actor John Breslin emerged as a bona fide queer hero. Wish he'd appeared in more than one (great) #DoctorWho story but the same year – 56 yrs ago! – he was vocal on TV about improving gay representation. #PrideMonth2026 tenacrefilms.bigcartel.com/product/you-...
Right, who do we petition to get a new series of original novels 1 per month featuring the ongoing adventures of a Doctor. Could be any of them - but is a series over the course of the year.
80 pages into this wonderful book. Not just a fascinating insight into the lives of Doctor Who legends but also what it was to be gay in the 1950s. Beautiful.
Alcohol and a phone is a dangerous thing. I’ve just ordered the dvd of ‘This Sporting Life’
Working my way through the season 21 box set. Matthew Sweet is a very good interviewer.
In 1981 Doctor Who Magazine published the first comprehensive inventory of the BBC's archive, listing which Doctor Who episodes existed and were missing. 45 years on, 41 episodes have been returned to the archives. Here's a recreation of that list followed by how it stands in 2026.
One of the most refreshing things about this Doctor Who missing episode recovery is the absence of huge egos among those involved
Even though today is just a load of stress and shit. Thinking about those two (no longer!) missing episodes makes me smile #powerofthedoctor
Audible have added Red Dwarf and Only Fools and Horses soundtracks for download. Huge waves of nostalgia watching early nineties VHS or repeats of these
Started another #DoctorWho watch in order again. Last one took 3 years. This time watching classic and Nu series concurrently. Unoriginal comments but both relaunch episodes get it right and hook you in for more
