Overjoyed to see the news! Speculative poetry opens the door for many ppl, it takes on SFFH concerns but through the lyric. It was also my first intro to the spec community, where I devoured poems by Sofia Samatar & @rblemberg.bsky.social, & then dared to submit my own (And yes to translation next!)

I was a featured reader at an apartment reading series last night. I read an excerpt from the novel I'm working on, which I hadn't touched in several months. They felt so weird in my mouth, those words.

We say "people don't read books," but unfortunately this also includes public signage, basic directions, and emails

I have not written anything in like 7 months and I'm perfectly okay with that 😇

I am facing my fear of the Nintendo Switch by hosting Mario Kart programming at the library. These 8-year-olds are gonna absolutely smoke me and I'm okay with that.

I just feel like if we can write about violence, then we can write about love
