TIGA, the trade association representing the UK video games industry, is delighted to announce the shortlists for the prestigious TIGA Games Industry Awards 2026.

Does anyone have any pointers to information about why the UK/EU was so plastic-centric for game boxes? The US and Japan opted for card-based boxes on things like the late mega drive and Neo Geo Pocket, while the UK stayed firm with plastic boxes… hard to find reasons why!

Really annoying when I’m looking to buy something on eBay (usually retro game related for me) and there’s no shortage of them, but they’re all sealed and sellers have several. They invariably compromise 30% when I leave it in my watchlist for days. Dumb.

Anyone else not able to hear the voice of Archmagos Belisarius Cawl as anything other than the Ice King? Impossible to shake.

Following on from my last post, not only will I be at @developconference.com in Brighton next week, I'm speaking! Come drop by at 3pm on Wednesday July 15th at Room 7 to hear more about cutting edge technology in the games industry and why staying ahead of it has never been more important.

Hi! I'm heading to Brighton next week to represent @lab42games.bsky.social and Sumo Digital at @developconference.com! I made the incredibly clever decision to go and see @criticalrole.bsky.social in Edinburgh on the Sunday so I won't be there until the Tuesday. Pls reach out if you want to chat! 😊

lol went to Backrooms Everything Must Go Edition and the credits ended and that was it and there’s a cinema screen with a ton of us in like “what”

Hmm. Was waiting for the physical of Marvel Cosmic Invasion to play with my eldest kid - cos we’ve played all the classics and some modern games together - and we finally found the time and it was… weirdly a completely damp squib.

Moon over the castle

We're proud to announce Lab42 Games has been supporting our friends at @xbox.com and Playground Games on Forza Horizon 6, and we're absolutely thrilled for it to be out now and racing up the charts! Congratulations to everybody involved, including our sister studio @atomhawk.bsky.social!

Anyone looking to buy or re-buy the RE games physically on PS4/PS5 in the UK after playing Requiem; top tip, Argos has a bunch of them for £15 each or 2 for £25. Absolute steal.

I’m spending my time with Pokopia in exactly the same way I did Death Stranding. That is, I’ve not moved on from the first area after many, many hours and there’s nothing you can do to make me.

Not shared this in a while and many may not know that this the art I make for my self and will be back at making things and do dads again hopefully soon.

Kansas has, overnight, invalidated the drivers’ licenses of trans people, a pointless cruelty that upends their lives If Brits think “it won’t happen here” think again! Groups in the U.K. who want the same thing are routinely invited to consult with Labour and normalised in our press!
