I've got a full story to come, but wanted to share this. Tom Pohlad was asked, in the wake of adding Kremer and Hoffman, whether he hopes payroll will go up for 2027. The Twins are on the hook for $7.25M of Hoffman's $11M next year, and Kremer will likely receive a raise from $5.75M. (1/2)
Twins outfield prospect Emmanuel Rodriguez is back in the lineup at High-A Cedar Rapids after dealing with thumb soreness. St. Paul Saints outfielder Kyler Fedko is out for the season after he tore his ACL, MCL and LCL in his left knee. Fedko appeared in 14 games with the Twins this year.
A big problem across MLB is a lack of teams trying. There were teams in the hunt that sold. There were first-place teams who were conservative. Trying doesn’t always work out, I get it, but too many teams are afraid to try. Maybe things go poorly, but I’m not gonna fault the Twins for trying.

MLB Trade Rumors@mlbtraderumors.bsky.social · 2d agoIf the Twins were willing to trade Trevor Larnach for two months of a reliever, I have a hard time believing he'll remain a Twin. If Larnach does stay, I'll immediately panic that would mean Jenkins did actually suffer an injury last night.

I should clarify: Not enough to justify the cost it's gonna take to get him. I believe he's under team control until 2030. That's gonna take a HAUL. If they're going bananas I'd much rather they target a starting pitcher.
