In 1991, climate scientist James Hansen said we should expect "dramatic impacts" on the climate "in 30 or 40 years." That was 35 years ago. Nailed it. In fact, very few people have ever nailed it like James Hansen in 1991.

New York Times: Heating the global warming debate
Feb. 3, 1991But, he added significantly, "the same models that project dramatic impacts in 30 or 40 years are predicting noticeable but small effects in the 1990s.

Remarkable. A provisional 38.1°C at Kew Gardens marks the hottest day so far this remarkable summer, and draws with 2022 for being one of only two years where 38°C has been reached twice in a summer.

The BBC increasingly just report on what is being said by the billionaire press. They allow them to set the agenda which means our national conversation becomes about same trivial nonsense the Daily Mail are talking about. And it's becoming deadly. novaramedia.com/2026/08/13/b...

Zoom in if you want to know how much CO2 is currently being captured using CCS (carbon capture and storage). CCS is linked to the polluting technologies that need to be phased out in the first place. Is there any conclusion other than that we (humanity) must combat them?

Diagram showing CCS carbon capture abd storage capturing only 0.2% of current enissions. Displayed by rectangles one is huge the other is only visible by zooming in
