Insight into my brain for whatever it's worth: When I watch The 1% Club, I think I've missed the 80% and 70% questions as much as I've missed anything thereafter. Something about the visual teasers that frequently come at that level messes with me.

I'm having a fantastic time at the National Puzzlers League convention, as I have every year since 2007 (2020 excepted), but I'm a bit gutted to miss @sfcityfc.com winning the USL2 NorCal division title today. What an incredible season for this club and I'm supremely proud to be part of it.
My worries are over, everyone! Turns out I'm heir to a collator fortune.

Today, my status as a San Franciscan reaches adulthood.
I am curious about the effect that almost everyone I know, even people who are doing relatively well, thinks they would be more successful economically if they sacrificed their ethical principles and just became a grifter of some sort.
Plasma Ring@plasmaring.bsky.social · 2mo agoso like lemme weigh in on this as someone who is more financially comfortable than many in my generational cohort: everything I have gained seems precarious and temporary because I know the people with real money will take it all from me the second they get an opportunity and no one will protect me.
