This is horseshit. It’s people like you that allow government overreaches. It’s always “marginal.” You find it palatable becuase you don’t believe you will fall victim to it. So you will always cede control as long as they take small steps. Ya know, for your comfort.

the marginal loss of privacy relative to status quo is why I'm very "ehhh" about most perceived SURVEILLANCE STATE!!! objections to thing like speed cameras. I find it hard to give much of a shit. I already assume I'm never unwatched in a populated public area. might as well be used constructively

Y'all, I tried to think through the ballistic missile defense problem. The interceptor problem. The conclusion I've come to, is the problem is bigger than what I can be of any further help. If there was a specific problem, maybe, but these are a bunch of problems wrapped in a bigger problem.
