Getting back to reading after moving recently. After a couple of 'good but flawed' reads, this from Simon Crump on @ofmooseandmen.bsky.social was a real pleasure. A short novel of comradeship, class, kindness and support, against the backdrop of Simon's previous life re-emerging. #booksky

A good summary. The Year of Reading is a great initiative, the key words in here are 'choice' for the young readers, and 'variety' in relation to the wealth of stories, ideas, formats that young people can choose from.
