Geeky. Comedian, sort of. Corgi wrangler. Fuelled by red wine, anger at the patriarchy and fabulous lippy. she/her

Fury Road is already a cinematic masterpiece but it absolutely hits differently this quickly after a re-watch. (Based on entirely no evidence other than a lack of his car & a sudden need to learn gymnastics I think this one comes BEFORE Thunderdome?)

This weekend I have finished a re-read of The Last Continent and started a re-watch of all the Mad Max films. Quite excited to accidentally call someone a skag at work tomorrow.

Starting my morning by taking the dog for a long walk in the park and I tell you what, the sinking feeling when you realise the drought means that nope, that's definitely not mud he's just rolled in is truly awful. Neither of us enjoy bathtime, buddy, stop doing this!

A soggy corgi who is frankly looking hard done by and not nearly guilty enough, wrapped up in a blue dressing down and sulking on a sofa

Scarfed meal whilst writing material segues on the back of my hand and was rewarded by an absolute humdinger of a gig AND a friend who works in the area turning up with her new boyfriend was WAS just as nice as she'd promised. Excellent evening, no notes.

Running slightly late to a gig and obviously desperately preparing my material on the train but I DID manage to get changed, do all my make up, walk and feed the dog before I left AND bring a packed tea (not sure WHEN I'll eat it but the principle is sound)

In Star Trek people often complain that replicated food is not as good as naturally produced food, which is weird when replicators are presumably using the same technology as transporters, which can perfectly replicate Spock every time. But is Spock getting less flavoursome over time? In this essay,

This has been a lovely weekend! After my fabulous Friday at the cinema, Saturday heralded an amazing meal out. Today we went for a long walk which was misery at times (SO HUMID) but went to Severndroog Castle & then had pints. Marvellous.

Between fires, drought, an eclipse and a leader coming down from the North with followers who call him 'King', I think Charles has accidentally ruled over our most accidentally medieval summer in a while. He should be grateful it's 2026, he'd have had his own knights rebelling by now in 1426.
