Very true, in fact I think Bluesky didn't believe sports content would work on this app and then at some point around the Super Bowl is when I noticed the algo treating sports content differently. By the time the NBA playoffs came around it was it's own momentum

Oh I did not know that the sports concentration on this website was a policy choice. Fwiw I think it has succeeded and been really good, I really enjoy the sports discussions we have here and routinely tell people it's one of the best things about the site.

I have loved how Bluesky has opened itself up to the sports fans and if they want to expand that's what they should continue doing. Identify a niche and let the algo connect those people to each other and to content within that niche.
