Yesterday's Oval Office presser was a prime example. Trump ranted and raved and repeated himself endlessly about imaginary vandals at the Reflecting Pool. One answer went on for eight minutes. He told a reporter "don't ever talk again" for asking if he was firing Pirro.

If you list all the crimes Trump has been credibly accused of, even just the ones he's confessed to, it genuinely reads worse than a mafia don. No wonder we feel like we're losing our minds when the media treats him with presidential deference.

Preventing some Iranian villagers from getting drinking water does nothing to prevent the IRGC from firing missiles and drones. Water is a red line. I know those of you who hate the US military and US foreign policy won’t care about the difference, but it’s significant, with very bad implications.

It's kind of a problem for the possibility of public discourse if a person can just completely invent facts whole cloth, and they get described as "exaggerating" so that the media cannot be accused of being too partisan.

Releasing public statements, covertly messaging on social media, trying to influence foreign leaders... Like diplomatic corps and intel agencies? Normal. Manipulating election and legal processes? Abnormal, worth countering. And as Trump just showed, the only country doing that to the US is Russia.

Disappointed with @meidastouch.com for continuing to float the Lindsey Graham poisoning conspiracy theory after the ME's finding of an aortic dissection. That's a mechanical issue caused by cardiovascular disease and high blood pressure over many years. It's not a symptom of poisoning.
