( #deltarune spoilers) so like am i insane (yes) or are these actually (some potentially abstract) foreshadowing. like i know predicting things in deltarune is actually a losing game. but, i was just thinking about the torn flower and then realized one of the other pictures was a Fountain...

A screenshot from the deltarune wiki. it's a spreadsheet table of made up of two columns, "Hint" and "Photo". The Hint Column contains, in order: Row 1: "THE PLANT OF SPIKES, HIDES IN THE FOREST. (deltarune spoilers) i think it's coming from a place that makes sense and it is a theme i think it explores, but is 100% already more complicated than just "escapism is bad", deltarune (and also undertale) frames the power to "make dreams into reality" as basically being The Ultimate Power,

i do not think the theme of deltarune is "escapism is bad". i think it's closer to "fiction and reality are able to influence each other for positive and negative reasons". a recurring aspect of deltarune is how much the people of hometown are involved in hearsay, myths, rumours, & selective memory
