But @jessiegender.bsky.social is right - think of the amount of times HBO commented on GOT leaks and downloads, just as an example. They DO track these things, and even that drives interest. Let this show die. Trans people deserve better.
Please remember that for every VE Schwab and Stephen King, there are a lot of banned Black, queer, and POC writers you've never heard of, to whom it is maybe not a badge of honor but a denial of their voice. Being banned is not a marketing opportunity, unless one is already rich.

i think the biggest thing i have to say on this dumbass art trend is that you cultivate your audience based on what you draw and how you act so do not be surprised if you follow a trend drawing fanart of an exclusionary franchise and now your audience is a bunch of shitheads while others leave
the influx of people buying shit from my work using AI and then finding out its wrong is increasing at an alarming rate. people need to know that any AI can be very wrong before it costs them hundreds of pounds.
