do you know that feeling of discovering a new Pokémon? the real-life equivalent is having a birdbath on the patio and spotting a new bird. today's new discovery: a spotted flycatcher! I had no idea we even had those around here. SO COOL
This particular celebrity death has left me stunned. This scene - no matter whether Jurassic Park has just been put on for background noise - I will always stop for. It is absolute perfection, especially that moment when Sam staggers and almost faints at the news of a T-Rex. RIP with tears.

Except it's one of the most iconic scenes in movie history and all of it, The groundbreaking CGI, the sweeping John Williams score *doesn't* work without the authentic joy and wonder of Neill's performance
finally finished creating my new character for an upcoming Daggerheart Age of Umbra campaign... they’re a (homebrew) dark fae hearthborne seraph who has been dormant for about 100 years as a partially decayed scarecrow with a pumpkin head. I’m very excited to play them 🎃

the app I use for drawing, Procreate, updated and moved one of the buttons I use very frequently to a different spot. I’m a big fan of improvements, but I’m not a fan of frequently used features being moved to a completely different spot after years of use. my muscle memory does not like that 😫 ugh
how being a trained user experience designer shows up randomly: my brain is constantly evaluating how information is organized - I can’t turn it off 🫣 maybe that’s why we’re currently coming up with an additional Daggerheart environment type/layout for @bardandraven.bsky.social… 👀
Finally I felt confident enough to try and draw this scene from CR campaign 2. A bit modified but still perhaps the main things remaining.
man, olivia rodrigo’s new album is SO GOOD! love her lyricism so much. can’t decide which song is my favorite. “maggots for brains” definitely scratches an itch! the song title + line “what can I do but think of you” may have inspired a little story for a Daggerheart character I’m working on 💜

I played an explorer who had an inexhaustible group of support staff made up of tardigrades, and for some unknown reason, they had a personal vendetta against ravioli and loved lavender cookies. “a perfect rock” was a lot of fun! #ttrpg

Our new home became Aetherox, a tidally locked earth like planet with dangerous storms and nomadic fauna AND flora! For undisclosed reasons, there is a planet wide ban on Ravioli. It was great fun! :)
