Tim Curry’s passing hits just as hard as Dolly’s for me. While RHPS didn’t have the impact on me that I know it had on a lot of others, both the flick and the soundtrack are old favorites of mine that I like to revisit at least once a year.
The most inspiring portion of this is the excerpt of Dolly's interview where she discusses helping Porter Wagoner out financially. She spoke about what she did with such humility and nonchalance, as if it was no big deal to bail him out and ensure his children would still own his publishing company.

There is nothing in the world more emotionally validating than smarting-off to my mom and her telling me to shut up.
This, more than anything else, is what Woke 1 was: Right-wing chuds claiming victimhood when their employers launch investigations, then being quietly cleared without major censure a few months later.
Throwing it out there that if the Serenity Prayer isn’t doing it for you, there are worse substitutes than “God, please fuck my mind for good.”

They obviously should have gone with [wife/girlfriend’s name].” Her eyes will roll to the back of her head, and it will be awesome.
It's impressive how many ethical quandaries can be solved by asking yourself, "Would Weird Al be cool with this?"
