Just like last year, I thought, "Oh, cool, pomelos are in season," and proceeded to order what turned out to be a grapefruit. The next layer of the joke is that I'm allergic to grapefruit. Spanish is now humbling me with reruns.

Getting some fridge magnets made with this design and then I'm going to reverse-shoplift them onto tourist-trap gift shop displays in central London
Also tbh it pisses me off that many food banks are having trouble keeping enough food on the shelves to meet demand, all while paying their executives six-figure salaries... bsky.app/profile/tutu...

First Indigenous Peoples Day where I can say: If you are not fully aware of how the US government has terrorized Indigenous people and our children from its inception, read my book.
Boarding Schools and the Indigenous Story by Ashley Fairbanks | Moon Palace Books
Created in collaboration with Race2Dinner, here's the harrowing true story of America's history with boarding schools, and the forced assimilation of Indigenous kids and families.

I was recently informed by a musician friend that the BBC have, in fact, not only banned slogans on their entertainment shows, but also flags, *and* have also recently banned people from wearing colours that might be reasonable "construed" as representing a flag. So no you probably can't wear this.
As well as a white, baby pink and powder blue costume for every performance. Fuck em.
when ppl would say that the average german in nazi germany didn't know jews were being mass murdered i used to roll my eyes and think 'but how could they not?!'. then i see this and im like 'oh the press probably jus kept them misinformed'.
peter doesn't care about the morality he just cares about what percentage of the population this will appeal too funny how he doesn't view labour's transphobic policies in terms of public appeal labour are mass murdering transgender ppl. the cass review has killed over 600 ppl in less than 2 years
How has it (only) been 4 weeks (already)? Results are looking good, swelling is going down, numbness is receding. And most of all, I almost always feel like a handsome mfer these days.
So, yeah. This is really important to me. Any help greatly appreciated 🩷 www.gofundme.com/f/support-me...

I was asked to review some code changes today. The colleague responsible was feeding my questions about it on Slack into an LLM and then pasting back whatever the LLM had responded.
I genuinely did not have "experience the rise of puritanism" on the bingo card for my lifetime. Thanks, I hate it.
Yeah, I'm gonna be skipping this season of Taskmaster, unless they provide a cut without Matt Lucas and Richard Ayoade. I have zero desire to watch two transphobes being platformed. They are also just not funny in general. It's a shame because all three women are an absolute delight, but I'm out.
Can we just burn it all down already? AI, the entire tech industry, politicians, billionaires, elite universities, mold-brained authors, all of it. Burn it the fuck down to the ground. If you think I'm being radical then you're not radical enough.
Oh no. It late. I Baldur's Gate.
Nerve pain after surgery SUCKS. that is all.
I'm the only masc-presenting person in my coaching/counselling training. I'm gonna have to unpack that later.
This is in no way fully cooked and yet I'm already feeling myself like never before. Top surgery was a 15/10 decision. Feels weird not to have to spoiler this anymore when it's the same nips on the same chest, so btw fuck the patriarchy.
LF someone who speaks Portuguese; ideally even someone not totally uninformed about chest surgeries. I spotted this in my post-op report and every app seems to translate it to "nipple-sparing". Now, I did not get nipple-sparing afaik. Is this just the Portuguese way to say ”free nipple grafts"?

After about a week of not being allowed near me, I removed the pillow barrier in the morning and finally allowed some careful cuddles. The barrier is going up again overnight because Nomi is a bed hogger but I feel like everyone might be a little calmer now. Also, please look at that flat chest! 😊
Lower body shower: Achieved! Tomorrow? World domination! Wednesday? Actual real shower!
Big ups to Julian, the empathetic and efficient customer service agent at the German distributor for Marena post-surgical vests because we were on the phone at 3:45 and he managed to get my order out the door with UPS at 4. If he hadn’t, it wouldn’t have been sent until Monday.
Any other trans folk get ticked off when people call you "brave" and "courageous" for "following your path"? It almost rings of inspiration porn to me. And also we wouldn't fucking have to be "brave" if society wasn't making life harder for trans people.
I understand now why I felt so great the first week after top surgery: the pain meds were suppressing all my chronic pain! It's back now. Which is how I figured it out.
Look, I'm not saying I'm doing super duper great but I have been allowed to take the compression velcro wrap off a day early. Now I'm down to the compression vest and feeling loads better. Eating. Relaxing. Even napping. Tomorrow we get to see how my nipples have fared through all this. 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻
