First session today at #SIRS2026 is a debate about Renaming Schizophrenia. Dr Stefan Leucht argues yes, if we rename we can choose a name that is not stigmatised. Maybe Positive & Negative Syndrome? Dr Wolfgang Gaebel says no. We’ve already renamed it multiple times! What do you think?

Hugely looking forward to this next year - if you work on voices, visions, presences or unusual experiences of any kind, keen an eye out for the CfP in the new year....

Hi all!👋 This year, my sabbatical will focus on learning more about the brain, esp. neural mechanisms behind social theory of mind & affect. This includes its breakdowns, e.g. psychosis, hallucinations and delusions related to ToM. I'll be posting what I learn along the way. Thanks for connecting! ☺️

On a personal note, it was a huge honour to be an invited speaker at #ICHR2025 and to fly the flag for interdisciplinary approaches to the phenomenology of voices. Such an inspiring group of people and a wonderful three days!
