Your voice matters and you should feel good that you made a difference. Obviously, the fight isn't over, but this was an important victory.
Btw I want to be clear I am supporting sex work here but just so you all know, this impacts YOU too. In Texas alone that already basically passed a watered down version of the screen act, they're asking for SSNs! Oh and they want to override VPNs. This impacts you too

How I do art is objectively bizarre. I usually work on a cycle of three things to prevent burnout. If you're expecting something from me, this will happen. You're on my queue but I'll be honest, I can't stare at the same piece for more than a couple hours at a time.

People can’t critically identify real art any longer and so everything gets accused of not being original. I don’t know how we climb out of this hole.

The SCREEN Act is not just another age-verification bill — it goes much further than anything passed at the state-level or in other countries. 1. The bill doesn't just target porn sites. It goes after *any* site that allows material "harmful" to minors. You'd have to scan your face to use Google.

It will be worse than this! Most websites will be forced to ask you to send your ID to a third party surveillance service, adding a credit card won't be enough for most. Bluesky asks for your *social security number* if you live in Texas now, due to this shit. Call in, and kill it.
