Yesterday was all kind of urgh. Two people speaking really ugly about folks with MH struggles. First someone talking about someone acting out of sorts as "schizo". Secondly, a MH nurse saying she gets bored of duty work these days as folks are suicidal due to social stuff 1/

I live with mental distress. Interested in alternative approaches outside the system and creating lived experience and peer support spaces. Harmed by critical psychiatry, mad survivor, forced to avoid services to prevent further harm.
Why is it 24 degrees in late September. Truly fed up of sun. Bah humbug to me
Had UC panic me with requests for bank statements. Anyone else had it happen? Honestly, has sent me into a tailspin
First time in ages that I became overwhelmed with some life stuff. Locked myself in the bathroom and sat in the dark. Haven't needed to do that in a long while.
Soooo grateful for good long sleep. I've been so extremely fatigued for months.
Jeez. Just spent over an hour talking with friends. "You look well" they said at the end. I nearly burst into tears. Couldn't be further from my sharing of how tough things have felt and been. I wanted to scream and tell them how suicidal I feel most days
Restless leg syndrome...please get lost. It hurts
I feel more tired than I have ever been. Wanting to sleep for 10+ hours a day. I think it might be to do with how little I was able to sleep and how stressed I was by the heat.
Autumn is such a happy time for me. Blue skies, bright sun, warm but not hot, getting dark early, crisp air. Love it. And I also think of those who hate and fear the darker times knowing how a season change can be feared (I get it in Spring).
Anyone else get such severe leg spasms at night that have to go to bed? It's so painful
How are people feeling about the new Burnham mental health units in town centres??? Cynical or hopeful? #madsky
August is such a funny month. Where do all the people go for weeks on end? Surely noone has that much holiday allowance?!
Micha Frazer-Carroll argues that mental health may be experienced as personal, but it is deeply political. Psychiatric systems are about social control and capitalism and are thus incapable of delivering wellbeing. #Madhistory #MadStudies #Medicine #Stigma #Activism #Advocate #Madart #HealthJustice
Today marks halfway between summer solstice and autumn equinox. Thanks sun for slowly waving goodbye to us again. You've been intense. Yours, x

I've hated every day of this summer. I just don't leave the house as the temp is too high but get major headaches inside with windows shut. Not sure why this year feels 1000 times worse
Dear sun, thanks for staying hidden today. I appreciate feeling cold and not feeling sick due to your intensity. To be able to stay at home minus the anxiety was nice too.
Why is it up to mental health patients to highlight that we do not want to be the canaries in the coal mine for these types of technology? We urge all Trusts to end their contracts with LIO Health and stop using Oxevision.
I had a little bit of ego boosting news today after a month of literally walking through hip height sludge.
Pet cooling mats are the answer to good sleep in hot weather
To rectify my previous error of turning my electric blanket on, I treated myself to a dog cooling mat. Put under sheet. Honestly, the best £6 spent!
Just slept a solid 10 hours. I can't tell you how little sleep I'm getting in this flat with these high temps
I'm such a numpty. Ended up turning my electric under blanket on ready for bed. During a heatwave I can tell you, is not a good idea. 😂
To treat DBT as a universal remedy for everyone given the label of borderline personality disorder is to mistake a tool for the art of care. Such certainty flattens the rich, unfolding story of a person into a checklist , it ignores the subtle contours of history,
boy that really does just sum it up doesn't it

This describes perfectly the soul destroying reality of "asking for help"
((Mental Health Services)) They ask, with the practiced neutrality of someone who’s been trained to sound helpful: “So, what do you need from us?” You lay it out , the single thing that would change everything , and then you watch the gears slow.
My heart and life hurt. So life weary. Got to sort out car issues (with little disposable income), a fallen curtain rail in time for the next heatwave, and feel under pressure to work. I'm doing it alone. I can't tell you how heavy that is. No close friends or family. 1/
It's summer and the horseflies have decided to love me. It hurts
