@nmdoj.bsky.social’s complaint alleges that "the federal government has refused, without adequate legal justification, to share records that could help investigators identify witnesses, corroborate evidence, and determine the full scope of crimes that occurred in New Mexico."

BREAKING: The New Mexico Department of Justice has sued Acting AG Todd Blanche and the DOJ, requesting the court for access to unredacted Epstein-related investigative files that the DOJ has been withholding.
the biggest presidential scandal in history. jeffrey epstein was a close friend and business associate of trump and they did crimes together! against children! its all pretty much out in the open now but its a smaller story than hillary's email server was for some reason

Compared to historical levels, current rates are very reasonable imo the problem is a very large portion of the population, compared to historical job markets, work in low-wage service-sector jobs that are extremely sensitive to inflation
I'm not really convinced higher bond rates are going to be such a huge issue as to meaningfully constrain the next administration.
Breaking: CoreCivic has announced they've sold the 1,600 bed Prairie Correctional Facility in Appleton, Minn., to the U.S. through the Department of Homeland Security for $495.6 million. CoreCivic will still manage the facility, which is expected to start receiving ICE detainees this fall.
Honestly think Stevens wouldve won if it wasnt for that “Israel comes to me in my dreams” clip.
Outside of the races for Congress, progressives had a very good night in Michigan. They won multiple open legislative seats against establishment-backed opponents in Grand Rapids, Lansing, Kalamazoo, and Detroit. The DSA also flipped a seat in Detroit!
Land doesn’t vote but the person who won the most land also won the 3 most populous counties so my Illinois mind is trying to wrap my head around how this coalition is an El-Sayed win
For the first time since 2017, a Reuters/Ipsos poll finds Democrats surpassing Republicans on which party voters think has a better approach to the economy. Trump's approval rating is at 35%. Democrats lead by 5-points on the generic congressional ballot.

as noted yesterday, Trump has now come around to treating an Iranian toll system covering the Strait of Hormuz as a given. Hard to overstate the level of strategic failure. US started the war purely as a war of choice and ends up dramatically empowering Iran and given the Iranian govt big wins.
Reuters: Iran wants fees of 5%-7% of the price of cargo from ships using the strait; Oman wants 3%. "Making fees voluntary, at least nominally, could be a way out of the impasse, although an implied threat of Iranian attacks could mean shippers would be unlikely to risk transit without paying."
Trump is undefeated at empowering our enemies.

Asked Jasmine Crockett last night in St. Louis if she thinks James Talarico can turn Texas blue this fall. “I don't know,” she said. She doesn’t buy the polls. “I watch money… When I look at the money, if Republicans start spending money in Texas, then I'll be convinced.” MORE:
Lindell: "I know a guy. I have an advantage over everyone up here. I can call up the president!"
The Minnesota GOP is all in for the military occupation of Minnesota and brutalization of its people, because this is what Dear Leader wants. They're indifferent to the fact that 80% of Minnesotans oppose this. bsky.app/profile/atru...
Every single Republican candidate for governor of Minnesota (including Mike Lindell!) makes clear that if Trump tried another Operation Metro Surge in the Twin Cities, they would support his efforts to brutalize residents

Fat lady finally singing — AP calls Michigan for Abdul El-Sayed, dealing another blow to the Dem establishment and raising some critical questions: Can lefty Democrats translate grassroots enthusiasm into statewide wins? Does El-Sayed have enough time to consolidate support after a nasty primary?

DSCC: “Abdul El-Sayed has run an energetic campaign that inspired thousands of Michiganders across the state, with a clear focus on lowering costs and standing up for working families." Michigan voters "will reject [Rogers] again in November and send Abdul El-Sayed to the United States Senate.”
Q: What message does it send if Trump fires a US attorney because she determined there was not sufficient evidence to charge four people with a crime? BLANCHE: If he fires a US attorney, it turns out he's allowed to do that because he's the president
El-Sayed: "Mike Rogers is a guy who wants to put a data center in your backyard so he can make himself feel a little more manly by making an AI video ... he's a guy who went back to Florida so he could lick every single boot Donald Trump owns to bet for his endorsement."
El-Sayed: "Mike, I'm gonna say it right now, I know you're gonna say no because you're a coward: Five debates, alright? ... By the time we're done, you are not gonna have safe quarter from people holding you accountable to what you've done for them here in Michigan. We will send you back to Florida"
El-Sayed on Islamophobia: "That's the only play they got. They're gonna point at me, they're gonna point at my name, like, 'Wow, he's different.' That's the best you got? You can't actually talk about what you want to do? My name is not raising your gas prices. My name is now taking us to war."

I think this is an extremely online take that is divorced from the actual democratic primary electorate. I am willing to bet that Michigan democrats have positive favorables of both AES *and* Stevens, and that is why it was close
The margin being this close suggests a lot of Democratic primary voters in Michigan *did not* see AES as "like most Democrats." This is cope.
