What a lovely surprise! 🎨🐝 When our volunteers arrived to tend the Dovecote gardens on Sunday, they met local artist Luke Alder, who was enjoying the garden, watching the bees and sketching this scene. Luke kindly donated his artwork to the Moseley Society. Thank you, Luke – we absolutely love it!

Lovely to see the Dovecote gardens being enjoyed during today’s Moseley in Bloom pop-up plant sale. 💜 Everyone commented on the beautiful lavender, buzzing with bees and filling the garden with its glorious scent. 🐝🌿 Missed it? The gardens are open again on Sat 25 July, 1–4pm.
🌿 Moseley in Bloom’s next plant sale is at the Dovecote on Sunday 19 July, 2–4pm. The garden may be looking a little parched after the dry weather, but the lavender and other flowers are still buzzing with bees and butterflies. Come along, pick up some plants, and enjoy the garden! 🐝🦋🌸
Great to welcome Richard Parker (WM Mayor) + Cllr Izzy Knowles to the Moseley Society stall today. Did you know there were 29 trains a day in 1906, compared with 31 today (4 on Sundays then, 14 now)? We love our new station and hope reliability improves so more people can enjoy travelling by rail.
🚆 Tomorrow! Come and see us at the Moseley Village Railway Station Family Fun Day, 11am–3pm. We’ll be there (looking something like this!) sharing Janet Berry’s fascinating research into how people travelled around Victorian and Edwardian Moseley. Hope to see you there!

Very thankful for the mature tree canopy helping keep us cooler in Moseley Village today. 🥵😎 🌳 Huge shout out to Moseley in Bloom and local builder Maison House for fitting water butts to some of the businesses so we can water the planting under the trees.
It’s #CleanAirDay and I’m off to the West Mids Air Quality Implementation Plan Workshop at The Exchange on behalf of @mumsforlungs.bsky.social, via the newly reopened Moseley station. Fantastic to have rail links back, but less diesel please, West Midlands Railway! 🚆🌿 @richardparkerwm.bsky.social
