FARMER - NOT FUCKING MAGA Lebanese. landrace crusader. ghost of a Hut 8 Wren. wǔsēng leaning wén wǔ shuāng quán practitioner. deep underground. ANARCHIST

IG & FB are straight junked out in the street and this dumpster fire right here is outpatient suboxone. I'd like to thank 🦋 for braking my social media habits. Fuck this noise. 🙌 I'd also like to thank the 10 real connections I have here for hope that connecting with strangers can happen.

It's the time of year that my run in the forest becomes far more of a wander into the woods with a spider stick looking for morels only to find every other fungus there is. Shown - wood ear & coral... not shown but found - turkey tail, oyster, baby chicken of the woods, various polypores...

Yesterday's serendipity brought blessings in spades. Sometimes the best gifts come from highly spontaneous choices. The morels weren't even the best part, but hot damn 6lbs of morels is a sight to behold. ✨🍄‍🟫✨

Rainy days mean filling the herb trailer with the last of the herbs and giving haircuts to petunias alone in an almost empty greenhouse.... listening to the rain while I trim. ✨🌱🕉️🌱✨

Haven't had to buy lettuce in a month and it's ✨⭐️✨. Also not buying croutons - because some loaves of bread make better croutons than eat'n bread. Failure is relative. 🍜

I try to keep my feed aboveboard, but the 90 day fiancé vibes have me 💀.. "I like American lady" & "I would like to meet millionaire only"... I swear I'm being punk'd. Dating websites are ineffective but ridiculously entertaining. What fresh hell. 🔥

Having friends from India is a weekly blessing, but being gifted 45 samosas for my birthday is a crazy great bonus... especially when I'm growing all the right herbs to make mint chutney on demand. 💥🌱💥 🍜🍽️🍜

Yesterday my feed was full of posts asking if people had ever been in love & MANY saying no. It seriously broke my heart. My feed was also full of Ai rejection making me hopeful that people still value humanity which is the first step to finding love. Good luck young people. I believe in you! 🫶

One man's trash is a perfect excuse to make pesto...and then pesto ravioli pizza. I said what I said. 🍜 Also a woman asked me if our herbs were organic because she doesn't like pesticides? Y'all really think organic farmers don't use pesticides? You know there are organic pesticides right? 🙄

Czech Republic 2012 w/3 touring musician friends 1 American 2 Czech My American friend & I kept trying to tip & our Czech friends kept trying to explain that's not their culture & within 20min realized that's why people were rude to them when they toured the US- they thought servers got paid.

. America is the only country that basically requires a tip. It’s our system that’s broken. And it’s time it gets fixed. I’m not paying your employees salary And $2.15 it’s not a livable wage A tip means “above and beyond Service.” .

I love all the "I'll never forgive..." accounts on this app. Here's mine- I'll never forgive all you victim shaming middle class breeders for not listening to us bluecollar genx'rs trying to tell you what was coming/already happening. We've been practicing poverty our whole lives. Welcome bitches.🫶

So weird to be almost cleaned out of stock before Mother's Day. Everyone planting early this season has been super obvious and oddly lucrative. Clearly people FINALLY got the memo that they're being taken advantage of and better help themselves in the most basic ways. Fuck the patriarchy. ⭐️ 🔥🌱🍅🌶️🌱🔥

2nd round of tomatoes and peppers hardening off - 3rd round waiting patiently in the greenhouse(s).. (small 4th round getting hand planted.) 🌱🍅🌶️🍅🌱

My city growing space may not look like much- but it means I can cut lettuce, green onion, mint, and cilantro & add it to 1 breast off a rotisserie chicken ($1) 1 pack mung bean noodles ($0.40) & carrots I pickled ($0.15) & make this magic whenever I like. #homecooking #citygrowing 🍜

Growing in a rental in a city looks/feels like... lemonade outta lemons (strawberries, lettuce, purple potato, cabbage, beets, fig, tomatoes, peppers, cilantro, rosemary, mint, green onion, blackberry, grape...cucumber coming up, sunflower, marigolds, hibiscus (roselle)...)

It's been just over a year & I'm still having trouble adjusting to this app where I can't connect w/farmers/chefs in other countries & where I sign in everyday to a parade of yt middle class tech bros/hoes talking about what feels like the shallow cares of those who have enough. #daysnumbered
