It's the time of year that my run in the forest becomes far more of a wander into the woods with a spider stick looking for morels only to find every other fungus there is. Shown - wood ear & coral... not shown but found - turkey tail, oyster, baby chicken of the woods, various polypores...
Yesterday's serendipity brought blessings in spades. Sometimes the best gifts come from highly spontaneous choices. The morels weren't even the best part, but hot damn 6lbs of morels is a sight to behold. ✨🍄🟫✨
