Hilariously, Dark Sun, always an awkward fit in D&D, would make for a killer Magic set

Realizing my TV experience was the opposite (but equally great): My parents had a "we only turn on the TV to watch something specific" rule, so even a mid-season episode of whatever middling series we were watching had the feel of an event.

linear TV was genuinely addictive because of the inability to watch what you want. Inconsistent but paced-out rewards the same as a skinner box. You got a big jackpot dopamine bonanza when your favorite Simpsons episode was randomly on syndication that day or came across an MST3k marathon

One thing I notice though: every story I read about bike lanes tends to be illustrated with a photo of a white person in neon cycling gear and a helmet when a lot of the folks it actually helps are day laborers on cheap bikes and working folks on share bikes

idk how to tell you this but people in their 30s and beyond do not have to subject themselves to the aesthetic judgements of teenagers. you can have a distinct culture. you dont have to breathlessly ask if the thing you like is chopped! we havent been young or cool in a while!!
