Gosh, I am so late posting about this, but I'm very excited to be a featured artist at Sequential Scotland this Saturday! I will be bringing Tide, the last few copies of With Malicious Intent, plus a wee preview of a new comic I'm working on called The Seneschal's Book of Hours. Find me at table 41!

📢 Featured artist announcement! This year's poster artist is Fran Morton (mortiscausa.bsky.social), an award winning comic creator from Edinburgh. 📖 sequentialscotland.co.uk

This year’s poster artist, Fran, is a freelance illustrator and award winning comic creator from Edinburgh. She worked in animation for several years and has been making comics in some form since she was a teenager. In 2024 she won Best Short Comic at the Selkie Awards, and in 2025 she was shortlisted for the inaugural Newberry Medieval Minicomic Prize for work that engages with medieval history. Her work is primarily inspired by history, folklore, Arthuriana, and a fondness for tragedy.

The print copies for It Comes in Waves, the new comic by Bruna Martini have arrived! I’m so pleased with how they’ve come out. Absolutely gorgeous! These will be winging their way to our Kickstarter backers over the next week so if that’s you, keep an eye on your letterbox.

Agreed. BOXES is, thanks to careful stewardship by @thirdbearpress.bsky.social, sustainable in a way that a *lot* of anthologies I’ve seen have not been. The trick is to cut your cloth according to your means, cut it back a little more to be safe, and then turn out the best thing you can from that.

It's such a tricky thing to keep the momentum going for small press titles that are ongoing. Somehow, Boxes always chugs along, and it's lovely to see. A premier title in the current UK indie scene!
