#CartAugust Still talking about the features of the terrain. Today: water! Where is it, and can we use it to get around! Is it fresh and life-giving or poisonous? If you don't have water, talk to me about navigable ways

Rivers, lakes, or oceans. What's the most noteworthy stretch of water here? Is it a navigable way or a death wish?

There is a lake in the northwest of Big Island that opens into the Sanctuary Delta. It’s notable for being the only lake in Sun-Drop, all other fresh water is streams or rivers. But it’s also notable for housing a sub aquatic dome city, Aqua Clara, where some of the wealthier people live. 🪡

#CartAugust 5 Sun-Drop is an island nation so there’s the Sun-Drop Sea in which they’re found that’s navigable. As mentioned yesterday, Coral Island, although having three towns, has only one port due to the barrier coral that blocks ship access around most of the island. 🪡

I have written several. I treat my work and world as somewhat continuous, so what comes next is building on what came before. My favourite part is exploring some of my other characters and their relationships. Least favourite part, the editing passes

Have you written a sequel before? If you haven't, what's stopped you? If you have, what were your most and least favorite parts about doing it? #WritingPrompt

My comms are open again! You can check my commission info and access my form riokuart.carrd.co! As EF is approaching this Batch might take longer. Preferable for this Batch I'd take Simple Poses and at most 1-2 Stickers per Entry! Not first come, first serve! 👀

I'm so rusty, don't judge too much please ;n; As an attempt to force myself back to the artistic moods, I'm working on a banner for something like a panel for the EuroFurence's fitness-furs panel I will work on it more later to see where I'll go ^^“

#CartAugust Rivers are typically shallow and fordable, but some are quite deep. Most noteworthy is the Lake region and surrounding wetland. Navigable to the initiated, but a potent barrier to those who are not. This is where Rashiné settled his people. 1/6 #WritingCommunity

#CartAugust Main navigable ways in the galaxy are the hyperlanes. Imaginable as smooth trodden paths through hyperspace. In general ships can fly anywhere within free space, but the less pre-mapped a sector the harder and slower hyperspatial navigation for the most common drive-types goes.

There are two significant rivers in Wardenreach: Bronzerun River, which originates near the Bronzebreak Mountains, and the Courseway, which enters the country in the east and leaves to the west. Both are used for river ship travel and trade, and major cities kling to them. #CartAugust
