In the 1950s we had 700 different chemicals in our food Today we have over 10,000 in our food In Europe, they only have 700 still today. Kelloggs makes the safer Canadian version and the American version. Two different options, same manufacturer. Americans have been sold out sadly.

"Republican Senators Thom Tillis and John Cornyn each reneged on their promises to meet with victims of Jeffrey Epstein, with Tillis even leaving them waiting in his office for 45 minutes before they gave up." Ghoulish but predictable move from these Trump de facto bootlickers.

Trump is far and away the most fiscally irresponsible president EVER. He doesn't even try to pass a sane budget. Loves blowing through our tax dollars & maxing out our credit. Leaving our government financially crippled as he goes out the door will give him a mushroom boner, (a guess).

You can/should read Emily Wilson's latest take on the Odyssey, but I'm logging on to convey my hairdresser's reaction. She was AGHAST that Nolan, with his million $ budget, gave Matt Damon ONLY 6 hair extensions. As a result, his hair did not blow around properly, & that ruined the film for her.

A gracious concession: “I want to congratulate Abdul El-Sayed on winning the Democratic nomination for U.S. Senate. He is a doctor, a community health official, a Rhodes Scholar, and a dedicated Michigander. I am proud to offer my support as he takes on Mike Rogers in the general election…

Among other problems, the bill would impose or incentivize age-verification systems, restrict young people’s access to lawful information, and create risks that adults could lose access to accounts or data after being mistakenly identified as minors. www.eff.org/deeplinks/20...

The SCREEN Act Threatens Privacy Far Beyond Adult Websites

The SCREEN Act is the biggest threat to your right to free, anonymous speech, ever. That this bill is very likely to be signed into law should send a chill down everyone's spines. Within the next month (or sooner), it will be the single most talked about topic in America - and rightfully so.

The SCREEN Act, which will go for a full
committee markup next Wednesday, on its own
would force every single adult in the US to do ID/
age verification. With that would come mass
censorship & surveillance over the last bit of
freedom and information we have - the internet.

ICE detained pregnant woman at airport fiancée of U.S. Army veteran. "I'm afraid I won't ever get to meet my child if they deport her," he said. "I ask the government for help as I served this country." How did agents even find her unless airlines cooperate with ICE?

In Bari Weiss' Free Press, Olivia Reingold reported from El-Sayed's watch party that "there were keffiyehs as far as the eye could see ... keffiyehs on heads, keffiyehs as belts, keffiyeh-printed phone cases." Not a single one made it into images from Reuters, a local ABC station, or Detroit News.

I mean sure all of that and also they just don’t give a shit, there will be no meaningful consequences for any decision they make. That goes for anyone in the senate who is retiring or not on the ballot. What’s going to happen to them?

"Blanche has either bamboozled Cornyn and Tillis by giving them meaningless written 'assurances' that assure nothing, or they have simply caved to pressure from Trump, Senate colleagues, the right-wing blogosphere, or their own allies and supporters."
