But have you seen the perfection with which the Mazda 3 indicators blink? It’s incredibly geeky but so much more satisfying and attention grabbing than these daft scrolling LED indicators which are just plain gimmicky.

For me, in this colour, this is still in the top 3 most beautiful Ferraris. Also, in time, at the peak of mechanical reliability without too many pointless electronic gadgets. That you can have that glorious V12 with a manual is surely the icing on the cake. 456 > 550, no apologies.

Oh and the Holy Shit moment today was being buzzed by 2 Typhoons as we headed north along the straight at Balhaldie on the A9. The roar made me think I’d pulled out in front of a fast bike before I saw them through the windscreen. Max 500ft above us.
Not quite @motoringpodcast.com levels of ambition but the longest single day drive in the CLA250+ EV today. Bang on 290 miles round trip, left with 99% charge, home with 22% and 80 miles left showing of range. Return journey a little faster and with AC thumping. One minor issue discovered…
