The anger baseball fans have over the LA Dodgers is overblown. If anything, the Dodgers' successful effort to land Tarik Skubal from the Tigers for hardly anything is a sign of how some teams are more committed to winning than others. It's also the sign of how we badly need a salary floor.

I'm less surprised over Barstool Sports being shut out on Celebrity Family Feud than I am over "big dick" not being an answer. "Penis" and other similar terms is seemingly an answer to almost every question in the show's Steve Harvey era.
ESPN's shedding of various long-time employees and other staff members these last few days is disheartening. Not even figures like Karl Ravech and David Lloyd are safe. But it also shows that ESPN is pivoting toward two things - super loud hot takes and sports betting.

The Rise of Skywalker was essentially Disney cowardly trying to please people who were angry over the Last Jedi. Never mind we know why they were REALLY upset...and that they won't forgive Disney. So instead of ignoring them, Disney decided to piss everyone off.

You kind of have to wonder if they're just including a soccer player and a wrestler in the men's college athlete category at the ESPYs just to make it sound like they actually care about those sports. Seems like empty lip service. (granted, i would have voted for Mendoza too)
Watching the ESPYs, and wow, Marcello Hernandez is that bad even when he's not on SNL. Not as bad as Jane Wickline, but still. Further proof that Lorne Michaels isn't the legend he thinks he is. He just got super lucky with some of the talent he hired.
Whoever came up with that Limu Emu campaign for Liberty Mutual has clearly watched the music video for the Beastie Boys' Sabotage way too many times.

I'm not super excited about my birthday on Sunday but that's just a sign of getting older. The older you get, the less you look forward to it. It's amazing how kids get excited over birthdays. I guess it's just the excitement you feel back then of getting a year older and closer to doing more stuff
