Underneath solar panels, plants grew much more and used less water, "Chiltepin pepper plants produced three times as much fruit as those grown in full sun. Jalapenos matched their usual harvest while using 65 percent less water. Tomatoes grown under the array came in at twice the normal yield."

*American farmers slid solar panels over 62,000 acres of farmland, and the biggest payoff had almost nothing to do with electricity* #Erneuerbare #Renewable #Solar #Photovoltaik energiesmedia.com/solar-panels…

Skipping right past the “stupid little tifo” bit (it was actually quite large, Brian!), to focus on the “what goes around” bit: WHAT WENT AROUND, BRIAN, IS THAT WE GOT SADDLED WITH PHIL NEVILLE FOR 3 YEARS AND NOW WE’VE DONE OUR PENANCE. WHAT WILL BE COMING AROUND IS MORE SEATTLE TEARS.

Brian Schmetzer was asked if Saturday night could push the #Sounders into panic. He adamantly denied panicking, but his venting of frustrations included a bizarre aside about the Timbers Army tifo:

>looking for a new PNW story >ask the author if their setting is creepy & wet or true to life >he doesnt understand >pull out illustrated diagram explaing what is creepy & wet and what explores diversity of PNW >he laughs and says "it's a good setting sir" >buy the book >its creepy & wet

It was actually nice being away from my phone for the cup. I don’t actually like being back on here. I mean, *you* all are fine, but it’s sort of like being back at the bar you’ve been trying to quit and seeing all the regulars again.

This world cup has been a death march. As if it was designed to punish those who actually enjoy watching the matches themselves. I’m hearing some people are enjoying the fact that there’s more games? I’ve watched every single one and I can’t remember half of them already. Madness.
