Bay Ward City Councillor, Ottawa Community Housing Board Chair, former OCDSB Trustee, former hill staffer, current triathlete & runner and loyal cat servant.
Marcella Seropian is an advocate for better care for dementia & Alzheimer sufferers. I worked with city staff to bring resident centric care to our city’s LTC. I am proud of this major achievement & thank Marcella for her role in speaking out for those who needed a voice.

‘I want to do everything I can to head off dementia’: Why demand for the shingles vaccine is soaring. Could a drug intended to prevent painful rashes also protect our brains as we get older? by @iansample.bsky.social www.theguardian.com/society/2026... via @theguardian.com
OP-ED: “Removing Toronto's bike lanes puts children's health at risk.” Actually, well documented evidence shows that EVERYONE is put at risk. And it costs EVERYONE. “The Ford government decision to tear up bike-lanes is bad for kids, families, cyclists, drivers, taxpayers & the planet.” And more.

Two members of the volunteer group For Our Kids Toronto argue the Ford government's decision to tear up bike lanes is bad for kids, families, cyclists, drivers, taxpayers and the planet

Another successful canvass with some amazing volunteers. What a beautiful day for enjoying fall colours in Bay Ward! Happy Thanksgiving weekend everyone!
Driver: 30km/hr is way too slow for our roads! Also driver: hey cyclist slow down you’re going 20km/hr - You could kill someone!
While canvassing I had a chance to reconnect w Norine. She gave me a big hug. Last year her brother passed away due to not receiving the home care he needed. I was able to connect her to MPP Chandra Pasma & the media. Norine had the courage to speak out on the major gaps of our health care system.
I’ve been knocking on doors, both indoors & out. With the help of my volunteers I’ve reached 12,000 households & plan to continue right up to Election Day. Special shout to OCDSB trustee candidate Emilie Quaile. You can support me with a donation or sign. www.reelecttheresakavanagh.ca/donate
In ERs, we see the impact of unsafe roads regularly. Cities with good bike infrastructure have fewer deaths and greater safety for all, regardless of whether they’re walking, cycling or driving. Ontario gov should reconsider how to spend $48 mil Improve lives - not put them at risk #bikeTO #onpoli

It was a treat to see this magnificent creature on my run this morning on the Mud Lake pathway. They didn’t mind the rain.
While campaigning in Roseview Apt building I was just in time for the Apple Crisp making workshop! It was a fun gathering organized by a OASIS coordinator. Social connections can put a smile on your face and so does apple crisp! @queensuniv.bsky.social
Thank you Mary-Lu for organizing an event for Foster Farm residents in recognition of the Truth and Reconciliation Day. It is important for families to learn about this terrible chapter of our history and remember that Every Child Matters. @pqchc.bsky.social
Thanks so much for joining us! 💛 And congrats! 🥇
Participated in the #RuntoEndHomelessness this morning. This is a cause I very much support. We need to work together to ensure everyone is housed appropriately. It was a bonus to find out I was first in my age category in the 5k. Yay ! @ottawaalliance.bsky.social
I’ve enjoyed visiting many neighbourhoods in Bay Ward so far this weekend. Thanks to my volunteers, Ayah, Marlene & Clyde for helping me out. I met Rob Malone in Fairfield Heights who is a quiet hero who picks up litter around the neighbourhood So many wonderful folks in Bay Ward.
Still fighting for DRAO Coverage This morning at City Council, I brought forward a motion to ask the province to review the eligibility parameters for the DRAO program, not only for the storm on July 1st, but for future extreme weather events across Ontario. www.youtube.com/live/zHApfB1...
