Funny take, but this is noteworthy. Dee has largely been the face of the organization in recent years, and she's CEO (Jimmy is chairman). She's listed first on the front office page. Jimmy being on this committee sends a very different message. #Crew96

FFS, typing at a LLM is Not. Research. "Research" implies that you are developing a large body of knowledge, context, and EVIDENCE from which you are developing assertions. LLM output is just gives you an assertion, and it's wrong half (or more) of the time.

It's nice to see a bit of good journalism again. If the person you're interviewing is dodging, refusing to answer questions, and trying to promote their own talking points, you cut them off and end the interview. Tell them they're welcome back when they're ready to talk. No freebies.

There is a certain level of obtuseness in (some) "AI" apologists when they flounce up to point out what "AI" is good for in science, etc, while eliding the fact that almost none of that use is driving the current market capitalization, environmental degradation and resource hogging of the field
