Please know that this is one of my few legitimate areas of actual, high-level professional expertise: Kicking the healthiest people off of a health insurance program will bankrupt it. Not 'could;' not 'might,' not 'probably," but absolutely will, with mathematical certainty.

The insurance companies need those people to even out their costs. Money coming in but never going out is good for them. I don't know what's going on here but it's insane. They want Americans to be healthy but not so healthy they make no claims? They don't even understand their own bullshit.

THIS is the thing I've been thinking about When you learn a complex skill it demands constant attention. If you don't do it for a week or two, it degrades quickly. Golf is a classic case, which I did in my 20s. It was a real bitch to play well, constant practice. There's a real downside to AI.

In a study of doctors in Poland, using an AI for three months, then ceasing to use it, resulted in a 20% loss of skill and accuracy. Cognitive systems are metabolically expensive. When your brain knows there's a substitute, it resents not having access to it.
