Not my field, but I would have thought an official statement entered into the record of the United Nations by the President of the USA - declaring he went to war without Congress - would be grounds for legal action against the admin. of some sort. Potential to be an article of impeachment, surely?

The idea that national economic prosperity comes from founders "manifesting" it "through sheer force of will" is supported by no school of economics, but is sadly widespread in certain circles. Stable rules-based government, human capital, physical capital, natural resources. These build prosperity.
So triumphal that it needs to defend itself from invaders who’ve penetrated the capital city.

This is really damning of her voters, given the appeals for relief were kept secret: she clearly assesses her voters want her to support Trump and tarrifs, but also desperately want to evade the economic consequences. With such shitty voters no wonder we have such awful politics.
