The idea that a war only exists if there are casualties does not appear in the text of the Constitution. Nor does it appear in Madison’s notes on the Constitutional convention debates. Nor is there evidence it was discussed in ratification debates. It is made up.

Counterpoint. The Cooperative Election Study (CES) asked national samples to place the ideology of every Dem nominee since 2012 on a 1-7 scale. They rated all the Dem nominees at almost the same place on average.

I fear that the Isabella Stuart Gardner theft was done by uninformed small time mobsters who burned the paintings when they realized how much worldwide publicity their stunt attracted. But I pray that I’m wrong and the paintings are recovered in my lifetime.
