After many years of cycling in London I've had my first injury that required a trip to A&E. Tried to go up onto the grass to get around some people in a park and came down too hard off a bump, stacked it, and got my shin shredded by the pedal or chainring. It comes for us all eventually.

Just finished Blue Prince on Day 59. What a game. It completely consumed my brain and I absolutely loved it. But I think there are more mysteries at Mount Holly to solve..?
What’s all this water on the ground this morning? Where did it come from!?
Post Boomtown I only want to listen to Hardcore Gabber but with Deftones this weekend I should probably start adjusting to that instead.
Left some water in an old takeaway container at the back of the garden for local animals and woke up this morning to find some fox has taken a shit in it.
@dannyodwyer.bsky.social listening to you pining for your middle aged man life make me think Assassin’s Creed had it right - your genetic memory yearns for days starting with eggs and rashers, working in the fields, and finishing it with lovely stews and pints of stout.
I have reached the stage of Blue Prince when I see another layer of the puzzle. What an incredible game. I'm glad I gave it another chance.
I have woken up incredibly early so I guess I'll go for a run or something else that people who get up early do.
After putting it off since it came out, I'm giving Blue Prince another go. I've got my laptop with a Notion doc next to my SteamDeck ready to be filled with discoveries and ramblings of a mad man. I will defeat the mansion of Mount Holly if it kills me.
Not Sam Neill! Jurassic Park was such a core part of my childhood and Event Horizon is one of my favourite films. I once tweeted about how he nailed the accent in Peaky Blinders and the use of "Yous" and when I woke up the next morning I discovered he had liked it.
for the england match it's time for irish people to grow up a little and get over the performative hatred of an old enemy it's ancient history at this stage, we're kinda related to a bunch of them too so the posturing that so we're different is a bit crass let's put the viking raids behind us 💙🇳🇴❤️
Very middle class Walthamstow moment just now - a man at Clapton Craft trying to explain Orange Wine to his 6 year old.
@bell.bz I followed a link in a project from 3 years ago to your CSS reset to check for changes before adding it to a new project. I then realised you'd redirected the original URL to /a-more-modern-css-reset That's some nice work right there. Thanks for all you do for the web.
My stupid fat cat wanted out in the garden and is drinking puddle water instead of chasing the mouse and rat that are doing the same thing at the other end of the garden.
Meanwhile, pensioners who sat on pavements holding Palestine Action placards are being prosecuted under the Terrorism Act.
There is a video showing a crowd of men kicking in doors in Woodvale.
I do think a lot of English-based analysis of what happened in Northern Ireland last night is missing the specifically loyalist aspect of the violence. These are groups with a long history of violently driving out "outsiders", turning their sights on a new vulnerable minority.
Sad to see what is happening back home tonight. After last Summer, Belfast doesn't need this happening again.
I've been suffering with bad RSI recently which is an issue for playing games with a controller, so now I'm forcing myself to give Disco Elysium yet another go on a computer instead of the Switch. Maybe it's the different screen, or the fact I can't play other games, but I'm enjoying it a lot more.
Had an ultrasound today for arm pain and it took all my strength not to say "is it a boy or a girl?" to the nurse. I bet they get that all the time.
