It reads more as philosophy than fiction. A stellar recommendation by the librarian, discussing age, death, memory, identity, love, friendship, and the myriad points of departure across a human life.
The psychologist you know? They struggle with relationships too. The doctor you know? They eat junk sometimes too & drink too much. The leader you know? They doubt themselves too & have no idea what to do sometimes. Etc etc The point is nobody's really got it sorted & it's good to remember that.

Or an In reach or a Shout, or have a waterproof phone with an emergency beacon option. The odds of us finding you are drastically better than flares.
