artist, photographer and baby writer trying to work despite chronic illness #art / #oc / #photography I have an art feed and a photography feed! I do not have a writing feed because oh the horrors

I'd hoped to go to the coast this weekend and photograph plants to share for #wildflowerhour, but the car's gear box had other plans. So here's a few favourite plants #bythesea instead. Sea Milkwort, Thrift, Sea Aster, Sea Holly, Sea Stock, Sticky Stork's-bill, Sea Bindweed, Sea Heath & Dune Pansy.

For this scene, I improvised by filling it with several other residents instead of just Tiago and Roberto alone. I tried to portray that in this universe there are no 'maintenance services', the residents themselves take care of the upkeep of the residential complex, a kind of ancient tradition.

A large concept illustration of the background of the "Blue Lobby," the entrance to the Cerulean Tower of the Seven Waves residential complex, home to my sharkfolk characters.

Roberto (The great hammerhead shark) and Tiago (the tiger shark) are in the center, on a winding walkway that passes over a circular reflecting pool with tropical gardens and a replica of an antique vase on display.

The environment has an architecture reminiscent of the 1950s, with cylindrical columns, rounded shapes, and cobogó (a type of perforated brick). There are several other resident sharkfolk such as: A lemon and Caribbean sharkfolk cleaning a glass door; two small Leopard sharkfolk maintaining the tiles of one of the columns; a Nurse sharkfolk cleaning the floor with a spinning mop while wearing headphones; a Whale and Caribbean sharkfolk descending a ramp that probably leads to an underground parking lot; there is a mother silky sharkfolk pushing a shopping cart while her son holds a juice bottle; There are two small leopard sharkfolk tending to a section of the garden; a hammerhead and mako sharkfolk are conversing inside the hall inner, and finally, there are a silky and nurse sharkfolk chatting upstairs.
