Judge Mark Pittman, who signed the case over to Judge Reed O'Connor, is who presided over the Prairieland trial in the US Northern District of Texas, where the protest occurred. O'Connor, who's had a role in several anti-trans DOJ efforts, handed down some of the sentences with Pittman yesterday.
