Rewatching Macross Plus with friends and it really just is such a fuckin hitter, every second of it is so captivating, this mix of Top Gun vibes and broken friendships and losing yourself to the machine.
On one hand, Rintaro being involved does make me more interested in this given Adieu, but on the other hand Galaxy Express 999 is one of those works where I feel like new works only serve to hurt the grand point the series itself made. The journey ended, it's time to go home!
