had a dream in which i was watching some kind of Serbian(?) talk show from the early 90s. they had highly respected intellectual there. a very serious looking older man. idk what his deal was, but the host introduced him as Gosbodine Splorbobnich Gorblozhnevich. i woke myself up laughing
Really happy with how this one turned out. Like I say in the post, some of these scenarios would make for a great workplace comedy if this wasn't the stupidest timeline irl.

We've been in the ripping-the-copper-wiring-out-of-the-walls era of society for awhile now. There's no attempts to make anything better. There's no attempts to make anything people want. It's just syphoning gas out of cars and burying people in gambling debt from rigged betting markets.

THIS! this is my ultimate pet peeve. it's the part that everyone loves to dunk on, but it's literally the one thing about the story that actually makes sense. she's an independent mercenary who's intruding on a critical military operation, completely unauthorized, and entirely for personal reasons.

I think the reasons transphobia is so toxic is that it forces you to believe in a biological hierarchy that is immutable, which inevitably leads you to believe in other hierarchies of race and gender. You stop looking at people as equals, and instead as potential violators of hierarchy.
