They got a better PATH. Now transit advocates in Jersey City want a better light rail. gothamist.com/news/better-...
Better light rail in North Jersey? Hopeful advocates have a plan.
They hope momentum from the successful "A Better PATH" campaign can continue into changes for light rail.

The public really has no idea how traffic bottlenecks work, and governments everywhere have a lot to answer for that.
I wrote about this NYC congestion pricing study earlier this year, noting that most driving time savings accrues to people who never venture into the zone at all (i.e., driving within Queens or Long Island). IOW some of the most vociferous critics of CP are among its biggest beneficiaries.

My favorite proposed Meadowlands trails access project is the long-standing plans to connect the Tonnelle Ave HBLR station to the Meadowlands Exposition Center and the surrounding commercial district. Increase HBLR access & ridership and provide a missing link between Secaucus and North Hudson.
Does the Meadowlands have to be a bifurcated island of wetlands versus sports complex? The Regional Plan Association says no — and presents a vision for a walkable campus that improves flood resiliency, expands trails and connects it to surrounding communities. Is it feasible? More in my story.
PM rush yesterday and AM rush today the Hudson Bergen Light Rail is down because the trains have growing reliability and maintenance issues. This isn’t sustainable. @customeradvocate.bsky.social

United needs to since it can’t rely on Newark Airport to be its power hub in the Northeast.
Donald Trump and more importantly United Airlines want Dulles to be the nation's first world-class airport and now the plan is in place to make that a reality. But does that make sense? Do we need Dulles to be America's best airport? I have questions www.bloomberg.com/news/feature...
Wild to see US cities pursuing these huge redevelopment projects without effective transit plans. If this were a European or Asian city, 7200 future homes would mean a light rail branch at the minimum. Instead, because the US can't afford to build anything, the area might get some bus improvements.
