This is very exciting! Kudos to the MTA Team who came up with this concept. Riders will benefit from this direct connection between Montgomery County and Baltimore. Particularly, Silver Spring to Baltimore will be almost competitive with driving time during rush hour traffic.
New MARC Train service alert: Starting Mon, Sept 28, riders get a direct weekday connection between Montgomery County and Baltimore. Another step in the Moore-Miller mission to connect Marylanders to opportunity and each other. Details: https://www.mta.maryland.gov/articles/564
Congratulations @wmatagm.bsky.social!
Incredibly honored to be recognized as one of GOVERNING 2026 Public Officials of the Year. It’s a genuine privilege to serve as @wmata.com GM. As all awards/recognitions; a team is ultimately responsible. Thx you to my colleagues, Board, partners, family & customers for your support
This resonated with me. I need to reset and reframe how I'm spending my time.
Look, I love an acoustic (analog) bike ride as much as anyone else but E-bikes are magical for traveling around cities. 🚲⚡

The US already has a problem with rapidly increasing infrastructure costs. You know what makes those costs go up even more? Years and years of delays and inaction from the federal government in signing off on funding projects. That’s where we’re at right now.
West Sacramento has suspended work on its riverfront streetcar project… in part because the Trump Administration has failed to advance funding for it. The Trump DOT has not signed a single full grant agreement for a new transit project since it entered office. Zero projects funded.

Celebrating 5 years of the car free lifestyle! While there are some challenges, it's been one of the best life decisions I've made. The money I save from not owning one goes a long way allowing me to invest in other parts of life I find more meaningful.
More transportation options for more people! 👨🏾🦼🚶🏾♂️🚲🛴🚍🚊🚇🚄 This was a fun little project to be a part of. Shout out to Kennedy M. who interned with MDOT this summer and put this video together!
Meet Jerome Horne. He's the deputy director of planning with the Baltimore Red Line. He recently spoke with our summer fellow Kennedy Mboma to discuss how he fell in love with transportation and why he believes it's important to have multiple modes of transport available to use.
Flashback to my greater Vancouver, BC region trip a few weeks ago. Secure bike storage at transit hubs is a game changer. Knowing your bike is inside a place that makes it very hard to steal gives such peace of mind. Well done @translink.ca!
First time exploring the BWI Trail and the beginning of the Baltimore and Annapolis Trail.
100% This! Our infrastructure design and implementation have a big impact on ensuring everyone can travel safely on our streets, whether you're in a car or not. This is especially true for pedestrians, people with disabilities, people on bikes, and transit users.
Enough. Billboard with @visionzerovancouver.ca from last Fall.
