Still haven’t put the washing on. And I need to go to the shop.
Today I have been slightly more productive. Designed a poster for our WSM October gig and got it off to the printers. Made some potential gig approaches. About to put washing on. Work tomorrow.
Beatles albums are always so moreish. I’ve listened to three today already.
Liberal England: Finlay J. Macdonald visits the Flannan Isles and their lighthouse I once had bed and breakfast at Breasclete on the west coast of Lewis, and the owner was the grandson of one of the men aboard the Hesperus when it went out to the isles in 1900 to see what was amiss with the light.

Late to the docks shop for bread and then went to the hotel to book a foot massage and brow treatment for Saturday, which I can’t really afford but I need to make myself feel good.
I’m ridiculously exhausted and don’t know why, because again I’ve done virtually nothing and slept on and off through the night and right into the afternoon. Worse, I don’t have the inclination to do anything either.
With perfect timing for August, one of the mains in St Mawes has burst, sending 190 tons of raw sewage into the sea. Advice is to stay out of the water at local beaches including Gylly, Castle and Swanpool for minimum 24 hours. Southwest Water are apparently ‘dealing with it’.
In other news, we have council elections on 13 August and my rent is going up in the autumn. Better ramp up the new job search.
Sunset at 9pm now. Boo. (It’s funny how when we’re coming *into* summer, the prospect of a 9pm sunset is cause for celebration.)
That thing where you sign up to a fitness plan and they email you every five minutes to say “Have you done your exercises yet?” while you look in the cupboard in case there’s a forgotten packet of biscuits in there.
I see there is nothing particularly nutritious in the feed for me this afternoon.
RIP Kevin Sinnott, not only a leading Welsh contemporary artist but also a kind and generous man. (He personally gave us permission to use his wonderful 1995 painting “Neither up nor down” for the cover of Songdog’s 2017 album Joy Street.) Our condolences to his family www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

Yes, it’s Monday but here’s a little owl in a towel.
A nestling Barred Owl was found without a nest. The owl was otherwise healthy and eating well, and sent to a nearby shelter to bond with another owlet. Want to donate to Raindancer Wild Bird Rescue? www.raindancerwildbirdrescue.org/donate.html Source: fb.com/172627046075... #owlsintowels 💛🦉
Looking at the state of my bedsit and thinking of that episode of Black Books where Kevin Eldon turns up to assess the shop for cleaning. “Unspecified soiling, Zones B through K.”
