I love my mom. I’m so lucky that I grew up in an environment that showed me what a strong, kind, responsible adult looks like. She’s beautiful, smart, patient, generous, and so so capable. She is my greatest role model.

I live in a city with a substantial homeless population. When I see an unhoused person losing their mind in the middle of the sidewalk, it never fails to dampen my mood. It hurts my heart that our society forces its most at-risk members to pick through garbage for food, to sleep outside in the cold🧵
I’m back! Been on Instagram again for awhile and it’s getting to be too much. Meta apps, especially Threads, seem to thrive off of negativity for engagement. Time to disengage.

Been thinking about Batman v Superman lately. At the time, I was enamored by what I still consider to be the greatest batsuit ever committed to film. I forgave the fact that Batman kills and Superman is sad and aloof until I saw The Batman and realized how poorly written they are in BvS.

I saw Nosferatu again and I was right - I loved it on a rewatch and the design has really grown on me. I was definitely expecting something a little more akin to Kurt Barlow from Salem’s Lot so it threw me the first time around but it totally works for the context of the film. #BestMovieEver!

Not sure what to call this one yet. I’ve been experimenting a bit with ink and a brush and I’m learning a lot. My brush pen might be my new favorite drawing tool. I love its capacity to create lines, black-fills, and dry brush effects. Lots of fun.
