Oh, look, Mitch McConnell is trending again, thanks in part to posts like these. Genuinely at a loss for what they think Gov. Beshear should be doing. Kicking down hospital doors? Hacking medical charts? Bribing doctors to violate HIPAA?

As someone who twice underestimated Andy Beshear and twice ate crow, I would encourage everyone not familiar with Kentucky laws to give him the benefit of the doubt here. After what he’s been able to do — and been willing to do — in that state, he’s earned it.

I swear the universe sometimes… Just showed this film to the partner last night. Last night. She had never seen it, and I hadn’t watched it full through since viewing it in the theater (as a far off twinkle in my parents’ eyes…definitely not old enough to remember this in the theater. Definitely.)

They made ridiculing, unkind, and in some cases outright cruel comments about pictures I posted of young women cosplaying Jessica. More than a person, Jessica is a state of mind. To play Jessica, you need self -confidence, a sense of humor, and a Jessican -attitude-. There is no such thing as a Jessica cosplayer being too short, too flat chested, too heavy, too thin, too unattractive, too black, too Asian, or even too male!!! Ishtar was terrible and it hurts me to say it, because I adore Elaine May immeasurably, and this film essentially killed her Hollywood career for a decade. The film's recently undergone "re-evaluation" by critics saying it's better than its reputation. It's not, it's just a competent form of awful.

Rewatched Knives Out for the first time since its initial release. Despite the fantastic cast and performances, there was always something that bothered me about the amount of acclaim there was for this movie. I remember feeling like something was missing when I saw it in the theater.. #filmsky 👇🧵

Finished Spider Noir last night. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Nick Cage was very fun with his portrayal, doing his Nick Cage thing. The previews did not have me excited for this show. I was afraid the pacing would suck. It did not. It moved well and had some downright excellent scenes. 1/2 #filmsky

The long words in books things is funny. Have a hard time believing it’s a real discussion for more than a handful of online goofballs. If folks want easy reading, I get it. I like my movies that way…easy to consume. But demanding conformity to your comfort is silly. I view such posts as clickbait.
