Lol I feel a little dumb. I’ve been telling folks they can message the GolangNYC account here on Bluesky to RSVP or volunteer to speak but had the chat option off 🤦‍♂️

Our March meetup event is now live for RSVPs. If you don’t feel like signing up for meetup.com to RSVP just send us a DM and we’ll account for you. Looking forward to seeing all you fabulous Gophers. Join me at GolangNYC March Madness meetu.ps/e/PV7Jd/Yjk7...

Been on the job search for the past 8 months on and off, with a brutal gauntlet the past 12 weeks of almost non stop interviews. But finally the search is over 🥳

Our October Meetup is now official! Join us at the Motion Recruitment office in NYC for our first fork-a-thon for Hacktober. We'll be making contributions to open source projects written in Go, eating pizza, making friends along the way. meetu.ps/e/Pz74K/Yjk7...

Are you spooked at the thought of making your first contribution to open source software? Or are you a veteran Gopher that can't find the time after spending all day fighti

Mmm something about this commenter screams AI to me… doesn’t actually have any or commit to any repos but comments on a bunch of others about MCP settings for Zed?

A screenshot from the GitHub iOS app that Steven Turturo took while trying to fall asleep at 3:55AM EDT of a response of a potential AI bot commenting on GitHub issues within the Nuxt UI GitHub repository.

theoriginalstove: “@edulml98 great call out! Though I think the settings for Windows/Linux look the same?

Regardless, I’m on macOS and and using "args": “mcp-remote",
"https://ui.nuxt.com/mcp"] worked for me.
I opened a PR to update the docs so others don't have to dig through open issues to correctly configure Zed to use the MCP server or attempt to create their own extension lol”

edulml98: “@theoriginalstove You are right, I have updated the comment with the correct configuration for windows.”

It's really annoying when companies/websites will still include you in their marketing email campaigns even when, at the time of sign up, you did not opt in to receive said emails...

So I've been doing deliveries on GrubHub, HungryPanda, and Instacart to make some money so I can pay some bills. I'm somewhat surprised none of these gig work apps actually provide any APIs for their gig workers, or any integrations with ANY accounting software.

Im exhausted after 6 months of searching for a job, getting rejected after 5-6 rounds, doing take home assignments, fighting anxiety and my adhd brain fog during live coding interviews… and almost every rejection saying “you/your experience is valuable.” Apparently not valuable enough though. /rant

Starting to see less leetcode style interviews for technical evals, which I think is a good thing. Every company I’ve actually needed to use DSA knowledge, I was at companies that didn’t test via leetcode. The ones that did, it was never truly used on the job lol.

This is the 3rd job this week a recruiter has reached out to me for where it’s less than what I made 10yrs ago as a junior developer in a LCOL/MCOL city… what is going on.

A job posting at Gainwell for a Senior Professional Product Developer offering a low salary of 60,000-80,000 a year.A job posting at Gainwell for a Senior Professional Product Developer offering a low salary of 61,000-88,000 a year.

Need to polish up the landing page with some images, animations and more information about what InterviewQuest is all about. But getting closer to launching https//interview.quest lol. Got a tight deadline that I promised to my girlfriend of releasing the beta by her upcoming bday 🤣

I'm not sure exactly what it is, but using Zed lately feels extremely inconsistent when trying to type fast. My vim keybinds will sometimes do random things instead, hitting tab for the auto complete showing then output something completely different.

Getting closer to a beta release to launch InterviewQuest, a little app I'm building to help me track/gamify my job search I spent way too long today doing silly things to get ready to get it out there: ✅Setting CI/CD pipelines up for deploying my ui and api's to a staging and prod env
