Every journalist on the Reflecting Pool story knows damn well that Trump’s “vandalism” claim is complete bullshit. The way they mindlessly amplify what they know is a lie is a perfect example of how normalizing Trump misinforms readers. This is a huge journalistic failure and history will be unkind.

Actual journalists would write “Trump tries to avoid blame for Reflecting Pool fiasco, blaming imaginary ‘vandals’; Law enforcement obliges him by arresting tourists.” www.washingtonpost.com/politics/202...

I continue to be flummoxed about people who want to believe untrue things, and what to do about it. I suppose the psychological comfort of the lies is greater than the harm of accepting the truth, but how do we get past that?

Since I did do my PhD in cyanobacteria growth and treatment optimization modeling AND work in the water treatment industry, I’m gonna share my theory as to what’s happening here and how to fix it. People are focusing on the painted bottom of the pool increasing residual heat, and while that 1/19

RIP Mark Rothko. You would have loved how the hydrogen peroxide bleach is only turning the Reflecting Pool blue around the perimeter

My son found this rock he's really excited about. He wants me to take it to a museum but I was wondering if any science types can tell me any cool facts to tell him about his rock
