Dr. El-Sayed is a fighter for our American Constitution, he’s a fighter for our American Democracy, and he’s a fighter against the corrupt, lawless, and anti-American leadership currently in the White House. That’s why I’m in his corner 100%. Bruce Springsteen

Lula winning is great for the planet, great for Brazil, and great for people who aren't revanchist assholes everywhere in the world, but let's not forget that it's also going to make some of the worst people on Earth extremely sad and mad. We should enjoy that, as a little treat.

Important to note when the Trump administration tries to slip the highlighted language past. The Constitution protects the rights of every incarcerated person in the U.S. whether or not they're a citizen.

Justice Department Notifies the District of Columbia of Investigation into Whether Conditions in the D.C. Department of Corrections Correctional Facilities Violate the Constitution
WASHINGTON — Today, the Justice Department notified District of Columbia (D.C.) Mayor Muriel Bowser of the initiation of a federal investigation into D.C. Department of Corrections (D.C. DOC) correctional facilities. The Justice Department will investigate whether D.C. DOC engages in a pattern or practice of violating prisoners’ and detainees’ constitutional rights.

“The Constitution protects the rights of every incarcerated American, including those held in custody in our nation’s capital,” said Assistant Attorney General Harmeet K. Dhillon of the Justice Department’s Civil Rights Division. “We are committed to upholding our federal civil rights laws so that no inmate is confined in unconstitutional conditions or subject to unconstitutional mistreatment at the District of Columbia Department of Corrections.”

First, Thomas Teepell is not a voter. He lives in a different state. He was a political plant. Or, if you will, a paid protester. He is an agitator. Second, Abul El-Sayed responded with more patience than most people could muster. Calling him an angry, overly defensive jerk is you projecting.

Yes, who can forget the violent Reign of Terror (September 5, 1793 – July 27, 1794) in France, which was famously conducted by unassimilated people from third-world countries? [Checks actual history.] Oh, wait. They were French. Yale owes the world an apology for this idiot.

Hearing from my sources that this "over the top" tweet from Jan Crawford is being discussed internally at CBS. At the same time, as those same sources noted, "Jan is protected by Bari" and has been a very vocal acolyte of Weiss. "She just can't help herself," one network insider said.
